Nokia Comes With Music
Mobile phone behemoth Nokia created a pop up music venue to launch its Comes With Music campaign. Creative production company Mission Media chose event lighting specialist Fantastic Illuminations to design and install the performance lighting and electrical infrastructure using a selection of lighting and electrical equipment from their hire stock for this exciting project.
Right in the middle of six of busiest cities in England we built the world's smallest music venue. A 5 metre cube temporary structure transformed into a pop up theatre. Members of the public would choose from a selection of songs whereupon the curtains would open to reveal a band who would play the chosen song.
Fantastic Illuminations lighting designer John Woodward comments,"Like all pop up events there are many limitations but mainly with time schedules. The lighting had to be simple but bright and colourful as most of the performances were in daylight. The stage lighting was pre-programmed giving us the ability to quickly execute a huge variety of looks from colourful chases to smooth single block colour transitions. With this ability we could easily replicate classic band lighting techniques".
Speaking about our involvement with the project, Nicola Stephenson, Mission Media Marketing Executive says, "The event was a huge success, largely due to what a great team we had on board and the client were thrilled. Everyone went the extra mile to help us deliver a very successful campaign."
